Arnette is proud to announce that veteran waterman and North Shore local, Fred Patacchia, is the newest member of its surf squad.

Born and raised in Haleiwa and currently living in Sunset Beach, HI, Freddy P. has been competing on the ASP World Championship Tour since 2005, when his balls-to-the-wall surfing earned him Rookie of the Year honors. Inspired by family, friends and the Aloha Spirit, Freddy P. charges harder than most as he combines innovation, style and a no B.S. attitude with classic power surfing and barrel riding. Recent accomplishments include winning the 2009 Nike 6.0 Trestles Pro, and placing equal 9th at both the 2010 Quiksilver Pro and 2010 Rip Curl Pro events. He is currently sitting in 10th place overall in this year's ASP world title race.
When not shredding pipeline with his friends or traveling the world to compete, Freddy P. runs Insurfnews.com which he established to provide an authentic, insider's look at the surf industry and life on the WCT. He also spends time behind the mic as an announcer, with his most recent gig at the 2009/2010 Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau contest. Additionally, Freddy P. is the mastermind behind the first annual "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" big wave challenge at Backdoor, which wrapped up in February.
