Surf alert! Camp Shred is coming to the Cardiff Campgrounds this weekend, March 7-8. Get ready for two days of total surf turkey madness. For a full 48 hours you’ll be surrounded by thousands of surfboards, wetsuits, fins, leashes, and copious amounts of other surf gear — all available for you to check out and try for yourself. There will be an abundance of good times in and out of the water, with the Camp Shred Stage playing host to a number of local bands both days. New gear, killer music, and all around good vibes – there’s no excuse to miss out. Here’s an introduction to the bands that are going to put the shred in Camp Shred.

1:00 pm—Teenage Burritos
Teenage Burritos are a kick-ass foursome that plays rock music inspired by post-punk, garage, 60’s girl groups and doo-wop. Teenage Burritos are a band on the verge of mega-stardom with a style and sound that have garnered them a highly coveted spot on the Burger Records roster! Epic.

3:00 pm — Muscle Beech
Muscle Beech is a rock and roll group that bends genres, mixing indie rock with beach-goth sensibilities along with a heavy dose of psychedelic radness. The band’s sound is commonly referred to as “Wave-Gaze”. Muscle Beech is probably gonna be your new favorite band after you hear ‘em at Camp Shred.

1:00 pm—Montalban Quintet
Montalban Quintet is a collective of musicians that have infused interests from various musical barrios including post-punk, minimalism, jazz, 50′s schmaltz, field recordings, and new western art music. For all intents and purposes, Montalban Quintet is a San Diego supergroup that features past, present, or current members, and/or associates of bands that include Pinback, Boilermaker, Sleeping People, The Jade Shader, The Mattson 2, No Knife, Systems Officer, Tanner and more.
