LOTW runs for seven days, with the week’s most brilliant submissions picked and posted every Monday on surfingmagazine.com. There are two ways to write in: send an email to email@example.com, or use the Write a Letter tab on our Facebook page.
So it’s Monday, and we were feeling pretty good when we got to the office this morning. Not anymore.
I used to read the Letters column in the magazine. I used to stop and give special attention to each bored, lonely citizen of Earth who took time away from a CSI marathon or masturbation marathon or other sort of marathon to write you with his or her thoughts. No longer.
Letters were short enough to enjoy without having to sign up for a fucking Kantian exhibition of writer nonsense from some hack who lucked into his dream job. For me the magazine was Letters, photos, photos, photos, done. Now it's just photos, photos, recycle bin. What the fuck? Where are the Letters? Did people stop writing because there was nothing interesting to write about because the Letters were gone? Yank your heads out and put Letters back where it belongs, or else just start doing big picture books and take the words out entirely. Ain't nobody reading that moldy rotting leftover literary fecal matter.
PS: Still better than the other magazines though.
Fuck right off chaps,
Thanks for saying we’re the best magazine, Martin!
For the current week, Creatures of Leisure wants to dress up your next new board with a leash and pad. We can’t promise you’ll win just for berating us like Martin did, but it’s worth a shot.
