O'Neill's Generation Next packed every inch of the 7 Degrees gallery in Laguna Beach with hipsters and fashionistas looking to make a mark on the surf world. The event, which paired fashion and design with dance and an MTV-vibe, was the be-seen spot Friday night where 100% of the proceeds from the night went to Boarding for Breast Cancer. Partnering with Teen Vogue the second annual catwalk extravaganza featured four high school designers competing for an internship with the surf brand, plus an O'Neill wardrobe and an education scholarship. Lauren Alvarez, Kari Filardo and Lori Ke all sent O'Neill inspired dresses and handbags down the runway, but it was the designs of Angela Urmanita that nabbed the most votes via text from those in attendance and fans watching online via the O'Neill facebook page . With a performance by Fanny Pak and a jubilant after party, O'Neill showed their wares and upped the ante on fashion-forward design while highlighting up and coming talent.
