To be honest, this one slipped past us. All we know is that, by the looks of things, Japan has been pretty damn good this past week – all thanks to what has been deemed #Typhoon10. Unfortunately, this run of surf comes at the devastating expense of lives lost. Eleven of them as it’s reported at the time of this post.
In more official weather terms, this storm goes by the name of tropical depression Lionrock. But surfers have a tendency to rename things, so Lionrock has been given the tagline #Typhoon10, as it’s the tenth named storm this year in the Pacific. Names aside, it snuck up on us. Japan got good right behind our backs and now we’re left curious. And where to curious people go? The internet, of course. So we combed through Instagram, and sifted out this batch of photos you see above. As more trickles from the land of the rising sun we’ll keep ya posted – but until then, this should be a sufficient little update to chew on.
