Jerome Forrest, strong at the broken places

The unforgiving battlefield that is Western Oz took Jerome Forrest’s femur and snapped it in half ten years ago, and while he soon returned to the water thanks to a committed recovery plan, he hasn’t paddled out to that particular area in the north of Western Australia since. But when there’s spitting barrels at those reefs and slabs, no painful memories of his injury would keep him from throwing himself over the ledge.
