LandShark Pro 2010 – Become a Fan for Updates

The Production Team of the LandShark Pro 2010 and the Junior Pro are pleased to announce that both Pro Surfing events are open to Women. Men and Women will be competing together in mixed heats.

“Taking a page from NASCAR there will be no separate Men’s and Women’s Division,” said LandShark Producer Karen Clancy Hodgson. “Danica Patrick is currently 38th in the NASCAR Title standings ahead of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. at 54th and no male driver slowed down in the name of fairness. The judging of these events will hold to the highest degree of professionalism and no exceptions for judging will be made. This allows the women who are truly gifted in the water to showcase their talents as athletes and take their rightful place on the awards podium.”

Head Judge Dylan Feindt concurs, “I judge both men and women at the highest of levels [and] I say if a woman wants to compete against the men she should be able to do it.”

Registration for both the LandShark Pro and the Junior Pro is going well and surfers interested in entering should go to as spots are filling quickly for the April 14-18 event.
