Southern California natives, Donavon Frankenreiter and Sugar Ray will team up to co-headline a New Year's Eve show at the Grove of Anaheim on Friday, December 31 with special guests Timmy Curran, Tom Curren and the Ken Garcia Band.
Singer songwriter / professional surfer Donavon Frankenreiter has been on tour in support of his fourth studio album, Glow through Liquid Tambourine Records, his own label through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group. Frankenreiter's Glow capitalizes on his playful rhythmic foundations and surfer- acoustic style. The eleven-track album showcases Donavon's growth as a songwriter with upbeat soothing songs and contagious hooks.
Sugar Ray gained fame in the late 1990s with such hits as “Someday,” “Every Morning,” “Fly," and "When It’s Over,” among others. Mark McGrath (vocals, guitar), Rodney Sheppard (guitar, vocals), Murphy Karges (bass guitar, vocals) and Stan Frazier (drums, percussion and vocals) make up this popular Orange County rock band.
Plus, two surfer-turned-singer-songwriters, Huntington Beach's Timmy Curran and Newport Beach's Tom Curren, will open, along with another homegrown act, Laguna Beach's Ken Garcia Band.
