In4mation Announces the Release of the Made-In-America Capital Collection in Collaboration with Matix

(Honolulu, Hawaii, March 26, 2012)--One of the most culturally diverse locations in the world, the islands of Hawaii are home to an endless array of languages, foods, and ethnic nuances. But through the collective differences that form these great islands, there are a few characteristics that the people of Hawaii hold in esteem, with hard work and tolerance being at the top of the list. It was with this mindset that the In4mation x Matix Capital collection arose.

Paying homage to Hawaii's blue-collar roots, the collection places a premium on the decades when Hawaii was defined by the plantation lifestyle; an age where long days spent in the sugarcane fields accompanied by the entire family were the norm. A place and time when people from around the world came to the islands to labor under the sun and share their culture. A place where a man was measured by the product he created with his own two hands.

Like the Hawaii of old, the backbone of the In4mation x Matix Capital collection is based on premium materials, both made and sourced in the United States, and reflects plantation age in Hawaii.

"There's a lot of stuff you see that says 'made in the USA,'" says Matix's Brian Dunlap. "But many of the components that go into these products are actually made overseas. The thing that sets this collection apart is that we’ve gone to great lengths to actually build every trim, every zipper, every item of all the collection’s pieces in the USA."

The collection is available both online as well as the Human Imagination and In4mation storefronts in Honolulu.
