Surfrider Helps Unveil Celebrity Mosaics August 11

Heidi Klum, Steve Carell, Tony Hawk Among Celebs Helping To Raise Funds for Surfrider Foundation

WHAT: SEA LIFETM Aquarium is turning one and LEGOLAND® California Resort is celebrating with the unveiling of the Celebrity Mosaic Project to benefit the Surfrider Foundation. Some of today’s hottest celebrities including Al Pacino, Brooke Shields, Heidi Klum, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mark Hoppus, Peter Facinelli, Steve Carell, Thomas Gibson, Tom DeLonge and Tony Hawk have built their own ocean-themed LEGO mosaics as part of the Celebrity Mosaic Project benefitting Surfrider Foundation. The entire collection will be unveiled in a ceremony at the SEA LIFETM Aquarium.

Best of all, guests will have the chance to own mosaics made by their favorite celebrities – they will listed for auction at until Sept. 9, 2009.

VISUALS: More than 15 fun, whimsical LEGO mosaics designed, built and autographed by celebrities to raise funds for Surfrider Foundation which has been dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches for 25 years

• Mosaics include a mermaid built by Heidi Klum; a colorful fish blowing bubbles built by Steve Carell, a skateboarding fish by Tony Hawk and an Octopus by Brooke Shields.
