This Week in Webclips

The best videos of the week, all in one place

CLIP OF THE WEEK: Gudanging with Tanner
A clip that’s got a Concrete Blonde song on the soundtrack and that opens with a radio-controlled surfer is already an instant frontrunner for Clip of the Week. Throw in a ripping member of the Gudauskas clan, and Ding…Ding…Ding — we’ve got a winner.

Bocas del Toro has been getting all sorts of play lately in surf clips. This time, we focus on a nasty little sandbar that dishes up some of the heaviest rideable shorepound you’d ever want to see. Dusty Payne is all about this kind of wave, fearing not the barely-wet sand millimeters below his fins, just waiting to work its way violently into his internal organs.

Kael at 14

Dino Adrian – Desert Drain Pipes
Do you like barrels? ‘Cause Dino Adrian got a whole lotta backside barrels in this clip. How do you like them barrels?

THROWBACK CLIP OF THE WEEK: Trestles section: What’s Really Goin’ Wrong? (1997)
As a nod to the Hurley Pro this week, we present you a little cinematic time capsule of what used to be cutting-edge surfing at Trestles. In 20 years or so, you’ll watch a virtual reality clip from 2014 of Gabriel Medina flicking his board all over the Lowers launch ramp and think, jeez, guys used to ride HUGE boards back then. Isn’t that weird?
