SAN CLEMENTE, CA – SURFING Magazine is pleased to announce the addition of another asset to its roster of heavy-hitting lensmen: gifted photographer and artist Dustin Humphrey. "I am really excited about becoming a part of SURFING Magazine family," said Humphrey. "Creatively speaking, SURFING Magazine's direction is a perfect fit for my style of photography. I hope to compliment the already amazing team of photographers, editors, journalists and designers and together I am certain we will raise the standard of surf media to new a level."

Over the past five years, Humphrey, 31, has established himself as one of the surf-world's most forward-thinking photographers. Originally from Huntington Beach but now based in Bali, he's constantly evolving his craft, using different light, experimental equipment, unique angles and the world's best surfers as his variables. In addition, Humphrey has set a precedent in modern surf travel and documentation, partnering with Taylor Steele on trips to off-the-radar locations like Egypt and Italy. This combination of creativity and impeccable timing has enabled "D Hump" to become one of the most accomplished photographers of the 21st {{{Century}}}.

"Dustin is a perfect complement to our team since we share a similar vision," said SURFING Editor Evan Slater. "Fifty years from now, when people look back on his body of work, it'll most certainly be placed up there with the greats. And I know that his best work lies ahead."
