What happens when Johnny Drama, Ari Gold, and the runner-up to the latest season of The Bachelor walk into a party full of pro surfers?
A lot of selfies, that's for sure.
Billabong hosted the Pipeline Masters opening party at their beachfront abode overlooking Off-the-Wall last night. Makua Rothman played a beautiful set at sunset while a small crew of surfers lit up Backdoor with colorful lume cubes in the background. Delicious dinner was served. Cold Pacificos were cracked.
And then the celebs showed up.
"You see Johnny Drama?" Eithan Osbourne asked me, referring to everybody's favorite character in Entourage. I told him I had, and then Eithan ran (err limped, as Eithan just had knee surgery) to go find Drama (Kevin Dillon) for a picture.
The night turned into a clash of stars — famous surfers fanning out over famous actors and vice versa. I heard Drama tell Occy he was his favorite surfer. I heard Ryan Callinan tell Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) he was his favorite actor.
It was happy night filled with happy people all in town for the last CT of the year. Everyone went home with a selfie. Most woke up with a hangover. The contest kicks off in a few days. Until then, enjoy this gallery from a great night. –Zander Morton
