With the surf two to three feet for five days, a combo of weak NW and SW swells, Filipe Toledo was always going to win the Oakley Lowers Pro.
He knew it. Ross Williams knew it. The 95 other surfers that entered the event knew it. That Filipe had to surf seven heats to make it official was merely a formality. Nobody in the world can touch Filipe in those waves. Not Kelly. Not Dusty. And certainly not Jeremy Flores, despite his best efforts in the final.
The next WCT, the Oi Rio Pro, starts in one week. Does anyone on tour stand a chance against him in his home country?
