The CT doesn’t have much of an offseason.
We’ve made the case for a longer one and presented it here. But unless the WSL makes a large change, World Tour surfers will only ever have a short offseason — a bit less than three months, to be exact.
Kolohe Andino made good use of that time. El Niño ensured that the swell never stopped and Kolohe spent his time surfing around home with friends. Some days were good (he got the cover of our America issue). Some days were bad (he got turf toe). But almost all of those days were busy — it was an offseason that never was.
