We’re used to seeing young Hawaiian charger Noa Mizuno at heavy Pipeline or driving through maxed-out Indo tubes. So this edit, featuring Mizuno styling a Mark Richards twin-fin around Oahu’s South Shore this summer, is a nice change of pace. Full of high-line take-offs and electric blue tubes, this clip showcases waves we hardly ever see, along with a unique style of surfing from Mizuno. Paired with an early-’80s track by jazz/funk legend Gene Dunlap, and edited by Mizuno’s good friend and upstart filmer Orion Owens, “Soul In The City” is nice on the senses. Refreshing.
